Elizabeth Croom, LCMHCA

Hi, I’m Elizabeth! I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with a deep passion for empowering individuals through compassionate counseling and evidence-based support. With extensive experience in both education and mental health, I specialize in working with children, adolescents, families, and educators navigating challenges like anxiety, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and neurodiversity.

My background includes active licenses in school counseling, teaching, and a Montessori certification. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from East Carolina University and my Master’s in Education with a focus in School Counseling from NC State University. My training emphasized clinical counseling, which has prepared me to support clients both in school settings and private practice.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals from toddlerhood through high school, and I’m especially passionate about helping youth and families feel understood and equipped with practical strategies that foster confidence, resilience, and meaningful growth. I also support educators in managing stress, preventing burnout, and reconnecting with their sense of purpose.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, whom I met at ECU, and our three children. I enjoy traveling and could happily spend sunrise to sunset on a beach with a good book in hand.

Whether you're a parent seeking guidance, a teen facing life’s challenges, or an educator needing support, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, collaboration, and real-life tools. I look forward to partnering with you on your mental health journey.
